What is a Statement of Comparability?
The UK NARIC Statement of Comparability (SOC) is a document that can be used in support of your international qualifications. It is also known as one of our Blue Route services.
Do I need one?
If you are applying to work, study or practice in the UK then an SOC can really help support your application. It ensures that your qualifications are understood.
It guides universities, colleges, employers and professional bodies on how your qualifications (including professional qualifications) relate to UK qualifications and certificates. The recognition given by UK NARIC helps reassure these industries of the quality associated with an award and safeguard standards.
It is not a compulsory document, but it can be specifically requested by an organisation.
Tens of thousands of individuals use UK NARIC to obtain SOCs and the requests come from across the globe.

Why do individuals use them?
We have conducted a survey into why people are applying for an SOC.
These are the main reasons:

• To make sure my degree was equivalent to UK degree, so that I don’t have to do another degree programme

Where can they be used?
All sorts of organisations use UK NARIC’s assessments as part of their day-to-day work. Universities, colleges, Blue Chip employers, immigration consultants, careers advisors and professional bodies all use the information and data we provide. If an individual with qualifications from outside the UK is applying to any of these types of organisation then a SOC could be helpful. It can also support applications made under the Points Based System for immigration to the UK.

Hi UK NARiC I have my all documents as final transcripts with my dean signatures and decorative border. I need statement of comparability . I also have level 2 English and level 2 Maths certificates from uk and also I have level 3 award with supporting children . I want to be a teacher in uk . My question is these are enough documents to send you or what else do I need ? Please reply . Because I heard I need a letter which confirm my medium of study was English . If so I don’t have that letter . What do I do .

UK NARIC provide a comment on qualifications that you have completed overseas. We would not need to see the documents for any qualifications completed in the UK.
I would recommend that you present the documents for each award that you have completed overseas.
